Autumn Book sale - 2024

Our big book sale is returning for one day only on Saturday 23rd November  from 10am to 5pm.

We always welcome donations. These are the life blood of our collection and a critical part of funding to keep us open.

Many people wait until nearer the sale actually but you can help by donating books early as well. This helps us cope with the numbers needing sorting.

You can bring books at any time the library is open.

Please spare a moment to look at the guidelines on donations are HERE

For newcomers, this is not just another charity sale!

We pride ourselves on the quality of books which we have presorted over many months just for you; only the good ones pass muster for the sale: others are sent off to our internet sale partner as are all our "retired" library copies.

No "brown" books or hardbacks without dust covers here!

On the day, we set the books out by genre: Novels ( with a separate large Crime section), History, Biography, Cookery, Art, (including Architecture  Photogaphy and other lovely volumes) , Poetry, Reference, Nature, Travel, Business, Humour, film and more...

Also a section of "special" of odd older books that you might want to collect.

Exclusive tables for the extensive children's selction laid out by age (until moved about by the browsers...)

Prices start at 50p with most books from £3. A few special ones may cost more. We offer discounts for sales over £50.

Also we have some  DVDs and CDs to stock up for holidays.
