Yeats and Margot - the Radio play LIVE on 5th May at 7pm

As part of the Yeats 150^th Anniversary, Poems the Underground present Yeats and Margot by Cicely Herbert on the 5th May at 7pm

A live performance of the radio play with Christopher Benjamin as Yeats and Trilby Harrison as Margot Ruddock, directed by Trilby Harrison.

First performed on Radio 4 and based on original letters and poems, it tells the story of the 3 year passionate and tragic love affair between the 69 year old poet and the 27 year old troubled actress.

Many of you will know Christopher Benjamin from his work at the RSC and The Globe (Falstaff in 2008) and he has also appeared in Dr Who and Danger Man.

Trilby Harrison played Miranda at the National Theatre and now direct plays at RADA.

Cicely Herbert, co-founder of Poems on the Underground, has written several performance pieces including Petticoat Lane for BBC TV, Scenes from Victorian London and La Comedie Humaine for the Nash Ensemble. Her poems are widely anthologised.
